School Psychologist/School Psychology Assistant - Part time, Greater Cleveland Area

The School Psychologist will provide individual student evaluations, school staff and parental consultation and collaboration, individual/group counseling, and special education case management services in a parochial K-8 setting.

Social Worker - Full time, k-12, Greater Cleveland Area

We are seeking a motivated, independent, and self-driven school based mental health counselor or social worker for the 2020-21 academic year. This position will serve grades K-12 in west suburban Cleveland. This is a full-time, salaried position beginning on or around August 1st, 2020. The employee will be responsible for mental health assessment and referral, crisis intervention, counseling, and group/classroom programs for students and their families both during and after school. Occasional home visits and wellness checks at student households may be required. The employee will work collaboratively with the Superintendent's Office, in addition to the Mayor's Office and Police Department in meeting the needs of the families in the community. Typical hours will be school days from 7:30-4:15pm with occasional evenings or weekends to visit with families who may not be available during business hours.

The ideal candidate will be one who is creative in designing intervention strategies, and has the ability to develop positive rapport with students who may be disengaged academically, or families who are dealing with financial barriers or domestic conflict that impacts social functioning and learning. The candidate must be comfortable working independently, and comfortable in a public speaking role, as presentations to community members and parents may also be required. Due to Covid-19, the candidate may at times be required to work from home using video technology to connect with students in the event of future school closures.
